Stranger Windows

Microsoft and Netflix have partnered together to celebrate the release of Strangers Things 3 in a true Windows 1.0 style. Windows 1.11 is a PC-inspired app that will let you experience 1985, but one that is taken over by Upside Down from the series Stranger Things. This app includes nostalgic Windows 1.0 apps such as Paint, Write, and the original cmp prompt. And, since this app is a tie-in with the series, it’s also replete with Easter eggs, show references, and callbacks. There are mysteries and secrets about Hawkins that you can unlock in this app. There are also retro games and puzzles that you can play, all building off the show’s third season. Windows 1.11 offers all these in a glitchy Windows package.  If you are a Strangers Thins fan, this can be a fun little app. However, if you are expecting a full-blown set of programs and utilities that Windows 1.0 provides, this isn’t that. Additionally, Windows 1.11 is not really an operating system but more of an entertainment app.
